High Solids Digestion Plant

Biotrix Asia Company Ltd staff provided process design and commissioning for an industrial anaerobic treatment plant for a manufacturer of soft drink concentrate and herbal essences. The client, based in Vienna, Austria, awarded a local engineering contractor, Purator GmbH the contract to install the plant used to treat their high solids industrial waste.

Excess biogas was vented through Purator's own stainless steel flarestack system. The waste treatment plant was designed to produce a soluble effluent COD of no greater than 4,000 mg/l, a reduction of greater than 96% from the 96,000 mg/l COD factory waste stream.
